Giuseppe Franciamore, one of our champions from the National Shooting Gallery of Pietrasanta did a test on some Konus riflescopes to decide his favorite for Super Production shooting. Read his interview to get to know him if you haven’t already done so https://www.konuscopes.com/news/intervista-a-franciamore-giuseppe/ and then read what he adds now, after a long time.

I have been dedicated myself to Konus riflescopes for a couple of years, shooting at 50 meters in the Supre Production category. The first test was done with the Konuspro Plus variable 6-24×50 and I immediately got into a perfect feeling, I immediately made my friends try it who confirmed its validity and consequently purchased it too. Hence a strong curiosity to try other Konus riflescopes as well.

So I also tested the Konus Glory, Konus Armada and the Konuspro EL 30.

What differences were found:

Testing the optics by Franciamore Giuseppe (2)With the Konuspro plus we found an excellent balance as we were able to find excellent feedback when shooting at 50 meters with a maximum magnification of 6.5x. They are all cross dot riflescopes and with the Konuspro plus we can manage it very well. All three riflescopes have 1/8 moa, therefore the correction is very precise. Glory is a great product, the glass is very good, exceptional visibility in all weather, all turrets have been improved (very comfortable), the parallax remains on the turret, excellent visibility, with 6.5 magnifications at 50 meters the dot appears to be very marked and is difficult to adjust.
The Armada is another very good item: the difference is in the objective as the light point input is fixed, without sunshade. The Armada riflescope has an excellent visibility, compared to Glory: the cross dot is slightly better marked and the parallax is adjustable from behind. For those who shoot at 50 meters, with maximum magnification 6,5x, the Konuspro Plus is recommended but you can also consider the other two models Glory and Armada both at 50 meters and at longer distances with free magnifications because the correction is perfect.

Konuspro plus as already said we found the perfect feeling, always inherent to our 50 meter category with a maximum of 6.5x allowed in Super Production, it allows perfect focusing ensuring that the cross and dot are in the aiming point impeccably.

Testing the optics by Franciamore Giuseppe (3)Konus Glory definitely a product of excellence, the focal plane and visibility are better, the adjustments of the elevation and windage turrets are very well done. The difference is made by the parallax which is regulated by the turret and has been calibrated at the laser, therefore the precision increases considerably. Was not chosen for our category for one reason only: the cross and the dot remain too marked to the point that it does not allow you to understand where to correct the shot, something that disappears if greater magnifications can be used or for distances greater than 50 metres. Therefore I would like to recommend it to those who shoot in other categories where magnifications higher than 6.6x are permitted or for those who shoot beyond 50 meters.

Konus Armada I was struck by its elegance, also this riflescope like the Glory, features improved turrets and parallax, the focal plane is excellent and the cross with the dot with its focus turns out to be perfect. Compared to the others mentioned, the Armada has not a sunshade, precisely due to the deisgn structure that has been adopted.

Konuspro EL-30 following requests from other shooters curious about the fact that it is a multi-reticle riflescope, we decided to test it. Beh…. what to say, a product never seen before.

I was too skeptical because it doesn’t fit into the logic of shooters, but once we tried it, we were fascinated by the 10 reticles available. As far as I’m concerned, they are truly a surprise, they are still in the testing phase, but I decided to look into it further and try it in an official race soon.

We therefore thank Giuseppe and we invite him to continue his tests and to cultivate his passion for Superproduction always in the company of a Konus riflescope!
